If you were an anti-gay congressman, would you be worried that history will look down upon you?

Just like with blacks, history will look back a hundred years from now and show how terrible anti-gay discrimination was. If you were a congressman, would this be a factor for you? THere names will be in the history books as adamantly blocking equality. I would be embarrassed. Would you?
