Is it a bad idea to get a job down the street from my boyfriend's house?

I live in a different city them him, and it takes me an hour to get to his house from mine by bus. I have been looking for a job for months and have had no luck. There is a job opening at a retail clothing store in his neighbourhood that I meet all the qualifications for. Would it seem 'creepy' to get a job so close to him? I don't want to seem clingy or something
