Can a swimming teacher become a teaching assistant?

i have various qualifications in teaching children sport, and have been a swimming teacher for 4 years know and have a level 3 teaching assistant award i did at home most jobs require you to work in a learning/childcare setting for at least a year so would it mean being a swimming teacher this is working with children in a learning setting... bristol city applications are confusing
