What's the deal about Congressman Weiner anyway?

Everyone keeps talking about this guy and the pictures he took. He also supposidly talked to a minor, but he wasn't inappropriate or indecent with her. Why is the media making such a big deal about him? If he had talked inappropriately with the minor, would he be in bigger trouble? Do you really think he is not going to resign?
